ADMISSIONS INTO SJSSN

Admission Requirement

Admission into school is done through the Catholic Common Entrance Examinations.

The exam is written on the First Saturday of May every year.

The school also conducts the late entrance examination to fill up spaces in the classes.

Admission Procedure

  • You are to report to the Office of the Vice Principal Administration for the collection of the student’s Admission letter, Handbook and Registration Forms.
  • You will be required to pay the school fee stipulated for the term to the bank and present the teller on the day of registration.
  • You shall fill a registration Form and Undertaking to abide by the rules and regulation of the school.
  • The provision of prospectus must be followed and carried out completely before full registration is effected.
  • This admission is offered only to the intending Boarding Students

Registration Requirements

Parents are to bring Photo Copies of the following for registration

 

  • First School leaving Certificate
  • Testimonial
  • Baptism Card
  • Admission Letter
  • Letter of Recommendation from a Priest/Pastor/Imam
  • Birth Certificate
  • Letter of Undertaking
  • Registration Form
  • Medical Test shall be carried out in the school after the payment of N4, 000 during registration.

Requirement for Prospective Candidates

Candidates seeking admission into JSS1 must be 10yrs of age by 1st September of the said year of admission. An admission may be withdrawn if it is later discovered that a candidate’s age was falsified for the purpose of gaining admission into the school.

Induction

Each year, our new First Years usually attend school on first day of the term. They take part in an induction programme to help them to familiarise themselves with their new school. They will also be given an orientation by the academic office, admin office and the guidance and counseling unit.
